Ultrasonic Big Bag Cutting How to Avoid Minor / Major Fraying Issue?
Tool Angle Setting
The most important aspect to consider is that the device should have a four-way tilt
adjustment at the connection point on the machine. This adjustment ensures that the
fabric cutting center distance between the carving roller center and the knife cutting line
is properly maintained. To enhance the performance and cutting quality of the ultrasonic
cutting tool, it is essential that it aligns with the direction of the incoming fabric.
This alignment ensures that the fabric fibers are cut evenly, minimizing the risk of wear,
deformation, or minor fraying issues. This is particularly important for low-thickness
fabrics that require precise and high-quality cutting.

Fabric Position Changes
Minor fraying can also occur due to changes in fabric positioning. On loom machines,
when production settings are adjusted, the fabric flow path may shift, while the ultrasonic
cutting tool remains in its previous position. This misalignment can sometimes cause
minor fraying along the fabric edge. Similarly, changes in the fabric tension adjustment
rods can also contribute to fraying.
The solution is to check and readjust the cutting tool’s angle whenever the fabric position
or adjustment rod settings change, ensuring proper alignment with the fabric flow.
Avoid Connection Place Vibrations and / or Tool Tension
Last but not least, vibrations from the connection pipes can cause minor or major fraying
on the fabric edges. Additionally, excessive tool tension, especially when combined with
high transducer pressure, can lead to significant fraying along the fabric edges.
We recommend regularly checking the tool angles, as well as cleaning and inspecting the
blade surfaces daily.
